The past week has seen me encounter many firsts. My first ‘In Real Life’ meet up with an insta-friend (Sunita from www.luckythings.co.uk), my first featured post in Salisbury Parenting (although it was actually published two weeks ago – I told you I was disorganised) and today, my first guest post! I am totally loving what Instagram/blogging has opened me up to. Without it, firstly, I wouldn’t have been introduced to all of you lovely lot and, secondly, it would have taken me longer to come across Anoushka Beazley and her refreshingly honest, and hilarious, take on life as a mother of three. Have a read below…after which point you will probably want to read the book that she self-published and then got into Waterstones, Daunt Books and Foyles! All while running around after three kids. I know…WTF?!

That I have to cook vegetables
That I have to cook
That parts of my body no longer function the way they used to after completely ‘normal’, acupuncture-induced, aromatherapy-scented pregnancies
That when my father passed away I couldn’t cry in my bed under the duvet because I had to do the school run
That I am always on my way back from, or to, or moments away from a f*ckin’ park
That I hide chocolate in my coat pocket like a homeless person and binge chew out of one cheek only so the munchkins can’t see
That one day these beautiful, bizarre creatures that I grew inside my body like a human terrarium will leave me and I will have to learn to let go of what was once part of me and what I love most in this world
